Joomla love

Brian Teeman spreads the Joomla love with a mobile-first template from Internet Inspired!

As you can imagine, I was very happy when Brian Teeman, the Obi-Wan of the Joomla galaxy, contacted me to ask if he could use one of my mobile-first, HTML5 Joomla templates for an upcoming presentation of his at this years Build Windows conference in Anaheim, California.

Test subject

Unfortunately for Brian, I wanted to give him what I was currently working with; more of a skeleton framework than a complete template. It was a complete revision of my previous platform, the first of my templates to incorporate the mobile-first boilerplate of 320andup.

No stranger to the bleeding edge, Brian took what I gave him and ran with it, building a site from scratch a few days before the conference.

The site http://www.spreadthejoomlalove.com/ was unveiled at the conference by Brian and used in his Webmatrix presentation to demonstrate the ease with which Joomla! sites can be edited on the fly.

Watch the video

If you didn't already see this presentation, it is well worth watching. Brian does what he does best, in front of an audience of Microsoft developers, spreading the Joomla love and removing his clothes!

Brian's presentation starts at around 13:35 into this video: http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/BUILD/BUILD2011/TOOL-825T
