Craft CMS Maintenance & Support

Stop worrying about your Craft CMS site. That’s my job.

I handle updates, security patches, and day-to-day support so you can focus on running your business. No jargon, and no stress. A reliable Craft CMS expert in your corner, from £100/month.

Does Craft really need updating?

Absolutely. The online landscape is constantly evolving, and so is Craft. Regular updates ensure that your site stays current with web standards, security protocols, and user expectations. Just like any other software, Craft and its plugins are regularly updated to fix security vulnerabilities and, for some businesses, keeping their website and CMS up-to-date may be a legal requirement.

Updating means you’re future-proofing your site, and you’re not scrambling to avoid costly major upgrades. One of the best things you can do for your website, and your peace of mind, is to ensure your site is updated on a regular basis.

  • Stay ahead of new threats

Craft’s popularity means more attention from bots and hackers. Updates patch vulnerabilities as they’re found, keeping bad actors out.

  • Little and often beats large and late

Regular updates are like servicing a car: a small, predictable cost that heads off expensive downtime and emergency repairs later.

  • More than just security

Updates aren’t only about security. They bring speed and feature improvements too. Stay current and you get them automatically.

  • Stay Fighting Fit

A regular tune-up, not a fire drill. Staying current keeps performance, security, and usability in good shape.

Seth’s support is always quick, clear and practical, and he genuinely takes the time to understand what we’re trying to achieve rather than treating it as just another development job.

We rely on him for ongoing website maintenance, and whenever something needs updating, fixing or improving, we know it will be handled quickly and properly.

What does it cost?

Plans start at £100/month. No long-term contracts — just straightforward cover at the level that suits you. If none of these quite fit, get in touch and I can put something together.

I keep my retainer list small on purpose, so every client gets proper attention, not a support ticket queue. If you’re thinking about it, it’s worth getting in touch sooner rather than later.

    Basic Maintenance

Your site stays up to date and secure, without you having to think about it. Every month, on a set day, I back up your database, test all Craft and plugin updates in a local environment, and only deploy them when I’m satisfied everything works. You’ll get a brief confirmation once it’s done.

    The in-betweener

The same careful update process as Basic Maintenance, but fortnightly instead of monthly — useful if your site runs business-critical content and you’d rather not go a full month between check-ins. Includes 1 hour per month for small ad-hoc tasks, so the occasional minor change doesn’t need a separate quote:

    • Tweaking content or settings
    • Installing and configuring a plugin
    • Adding or adjusting user accounts
  • 👨‍🍳

    £200/month

    Full Concierge

Fortnightly updates, at a time that suits you, plus 2 hours a month for more involved work. Think of it as having a Craft developer on call — someone who already knows your site and can act quickly when something needs attention. That time can go towards:

    • Tracking down and fixing unexpected errors
    • Improving performance
    • Adding new functionality
    • Updating content layouts or templates
    • Resolving accessibility issues

Common questions

If you don’t see your question here, just get in touch — I’m happy to help.

  • For retainer clients, same-day response during working hours. If something critical goes down, I'll pick it up as soon as I'm back at my desk — and I'm rarely far away.

  • Hosting, domain registration, email, and SSL certificates sit outside these plans, you'll manage those directly with your provider, though I'm happy to advise. Significant new features or redesign work would be scoped and quoted separately.

  • I always test updates locally before touching your live site, so the risk is minimal. But if something does go wrong, I'll fix it — that's part of the service.

  • No. Once we're set up, I handle everything. You'll get a brief confirmation after each update so you know it's done, but there's nothing required from you.

  • The Full Concierge plan includes 2 hours per month for small tasks like updating content, installing plugins, or changing settings. For larger work, we can agree a separate quote.

  • Just get in touch and tell me a bit about your site. I'll confirm it's a good fit, and we can usually get going within a few days.

  • Yes. There's no long-term contract — just one month's notice to cancel.

  • Usually just access to your Craft control panel and hosting environment. I'll walk you through it if you're not sure.

  • If your site rarely changes and you mainly want security and updates handled, Basic Maintenance is the right fit. If you occasionally need small tweaks done without raising a separate quote each time, The In-betweener covers that. If you want regular check-ins and a meaningful block of time each month for ongoing improvements, Full Concierge gives you that. Still not sure? Get in touch — I'm happy to talk it through.
